DNA Confirms Murphy
Eddie Murphy has been confirmed as the father of his ex-girlfriend Melanie ‘Mel B’ Brown’s daughter, according to her spokeswoman. Brown received paternity test results which reveal Murphy is the father of baby Angel Iris, her representative said.”He’s the baby’s father, it’s official. The baby is undoubtedly, 110 percent his,” Brown’s representative said. Brown gave birth to Angel Iris Murphy Brown on April 3. On the birth certificate, Brown listed the child’s last name as Murphy. Murphy, who has continually denied the child is his, recently vowed to stand by Brown if a DNA test proved he was the dad. He had been ordered by a court to provide a DNA sample, which he did at a Beverly Hills, California clinic on June 11. Brown and her daughter went to the same clinic, where the child underwent a blood test. Brown was “devastated” when Murphy publicly ended their romance on a Dutch TV show last year, saying, “I don’t know whose child that is until it comes out and has a test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir.”
