The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department opened an investigation into allegations that Paris Hilton received special treatment during her 23 days in jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case, authorities said."The internal probe will examine whether Hilton was given free access to a cordless phone instead of being forced to wait in line to use a pay phone at certain hours," sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said."Also under scrutiny are claims Hilton received a new jail uniform instead of the recycled ones given to many inmates and that her mail was delivered by a captain instead of inmate trusties," Whitmore said. The allegations were brought to the attention of the department's union, the Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs, by its members. Whitmore said the claims differ from the department's own information about Hilton's incarceration."We're going to investigate it and get to the bottom of it and find out exactly what happened," Whitmore said.

Soccer great David Beckham and his wife, Victoria, arrived with their three children to begin their new life in Los Angeles, greeted by the familiar sight of reporters and photographers. Authorities set up barricades at Los Angeles International Airport as if the arrival of the soccer star and the Spice Girl was a red carpet premiere. The couple held hands as they walked out of a terminal shortly after arriving aboard a British Airways flight from London. The English midfielder, who helped Real Madrid win the Spanish title last month, will play for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer.An estimated 5,000 soccer enthusiasts, and new Beckham fans, sat in the stands as "Becks" was introduced and he held up his new No. 23 jersey. He will make his debut with the Galaxy in an exhibition match against a familiar opponent, Chelsea FC of the English Premier League, on July 21 in Carson, California. Beckham will make around $32.5 million over five years with the Galaxy and millions more in endorsement deals. Saying he wanted to help soccer grow in the United States, Beckham said, "I'm going to be part of that for the next five years and maybe a few years beyond that." The Beckhams will make their new home in a reported $22 million, 13,000-square foot villa in Beverly Hills, where neighbors include their friends Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Beckham has said his focus would be on the soccer pitch and not on Hollywood glitz and their home in Beverly Hills.

'Ugly Betty' star Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell were married Saturday at their home in Los Angeles.Romijn's representative Lewis Kay said, "Rebecca and Jerry were married on Saturday evening in an intimate ceremony at their home. They were surrounded by family and close friends." Romijn wore a Ralph Lauren gown and jewelry by Neil Lane as she and O'Connell exchanged vows. She said,"It was a perfect celebration and Jerry and I couldn't be happier."The couple met in 2004 when Romjin was working on her documentary 'Wet Dreams,' about choreographing the fountains at Las Vegas' Bellagio Hotel and Casino.O'Connell proposed in September 2005, during a trip to New York. It was Romijn's second marriage but O'Connell's first. She was previously married to 'ER' star John Stamos.

After more than six weeks in rehab, Lindsay Lohan finally left Promises rehab facility and headed straight to Las Vegas nightclub Pure to attend the surprise birthday of her assistant. Lohan had extended her stay at rehab facility Promises in Malibu, California, after a series of drug and alcohol-related misdemeanors. She entered rehab for the second time this year following her arrest for DUI (driving under the influence) following a May car crash in Beverly Hills. She had planned to stage her recent 21st birthday celebrations at Pure but opted instead to host a small party for family and friends at a Malibu, California beach house. She made amends with Pure bosses when she made an unannounced appearance and danced the night away, sipping only energy drink Red Bull. Lohan lived it up with a group of ten or so pals. There wasn't a beer bottle or wine glass in sight. Members of the Pussycat Dolls and illusionist Criss Angel joined Lohan in the club's VIP DJ booth, where they partied from 1 to 4 a.m. Lohan completed a 45-day stay at the swank drug and alcohol rehab center and will now begin an intensive outpatient program with the facility. To keep her on the straight and narrow, Lohan's opted to wear an alcohol monitoring ankle bracelet."She chose to do so that there's no question of her sobriety when she goes to places where alcohol is served," said her publicist Leslie Sloane.

Sienna Miller has launched a scathing attack on Kate Moss' much-hyped clothing collection. Miller, who launches her own fashion line with sister Savannah later this year, insists that she began creating her clothing long before Moss teamed up with British chain TopShop. The latest comments fuel a bitter feud between the pair, who are known to be enemies because of Moss' friendship with Sadie Frost, the former wife of Miller's ex-fiance Jude Law. Miller says, "Her clothing project was very different with ours. Paris Hilton has been offered a $1 million-a-year contract to host a radio show. KDWB Radio, which broadcast to Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, has offered Hilton the six figure sum to co-host their morning show. Current host Dave Ryan said: "We need a co-host. She needs something to do. It's playing music and talking while sitting on a comfortable chair. There's very little stress or anxiety and absolutely no metal toilets." Several sources have independently confirmed that Nicole Richie is pregnant.Richie has been dating Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden for over six months. Rumors have been swirling for months that Richie and Madden were expecting, but it's been confirmed through several sources that she is, in fact, expecting.Sources are also reporting that the couple will marry this summer.

Cameron Diaz has denied having anything to do with illusionist Criss Angel's separation and pending divorce from his wife. In papers filed by Angel's estranged wife Joanne Sarantakos at Nassau County Court, New York, the bitter estranged wife named Diaz as the "other woman" in her divorce battle.Angel's estranged wife cited his alleged affair with the Diaz as her reason for divorcing Angel. But Diaz's representative Brad Cafarelli said, "When Cameron met Criss Angel in May of this year, he had been separated from his wife for over a year and she had already filed a petition to divorce him in 2006.""Cameron and Criss went on only four dates over a month ago and have no current relationship.""These are meaningless, attention-seeking attempts to unfairly and unnecessarily exploit Cameron's celebrity by trying to involve her in matters she has nothing to do with." Sarantakos' lawyer Dominic Barbara, who is said to have hired a private investigator to track Angel's activities, said, "We're naming Cameron Diaz as his lover. We will subpoena her as soon as she comes back to New York." Sarantakos is also accusing Angel, her husband of five years, of mental cruelty and abandonment. Ending weeks of speculation, Christina Aguilera's estranged father has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child. Aguilera has yet to talk publicly about reports she's pregnant and her representatives are refusing to deny the news, but proud grandfather-to-be Fausto Aguilera says she is expecting. Although Lindsay Lohan was scheduled to leave Promises rehab facility this week, she has agreed to extend her stay for an undetermined amount of time. She will reportedly stay beyond her 21st birthday today, the date she once planned to throw a Las Vegas bash. Sources say the party will take place off the facility grounds, but "no alcohol will be served." "She's going to be doing extended care. It was her choice," Lohan's mother, Dina, said as she appeared at a Long Island courtroom for a hearing on her ex-husband's request for visitation rights with their children. Dina Lohan said she speaks to Lindsay every day and insisted, "She's doing great." Lindsay is looking to rebound even better," said Ty Dux, Dina Lohan's security guard/publicist. "She wants to prove to everybody that she means it."

Britney Spears hand delivered a lawyer's letter to her estranged mother, but it's not a restraining order, according to inside sources. Spears reportedly fell out with her mother Lynne earlier this year for being 'pushed' into rehab after months of hard partying following her split from husband Kevin Federline. Spears was spotted visiting a Valencia, California movie set where her younger sister Jamie Lynn is currently working, and was seen handing over a document to her mother while exchanging a few brief words. Then she stormed back to her car. Various Media reports alleged Spears was serving her mother with a restraining order, but sources say it is actually a letter from Spear's lawyer. Spears could not legally deliver such an order if she was the one seeking it. Reportedly, the letter was a blunt request to Lynne to keep her distance from Britney's two young sons, if she is on medication that could "impair her ability to be around them."

A lawyer for Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo is trying to keep photos of the couple having sex out of the tabloids and off the Internet. Steamy photos of the couple were published in this week's Life & Style magazine, showing the two engaged in a heavy makeout session in a jacuzzi at a private resort in Mexico. However, these photos only show part of the fun the couple had. The rest of photos show the two not only making out, but having sex in the hot tub. A source who claims to have seen the photos says that they are "Paris sex tape-level scandalous," and include images of the couple in several different sex positions. High-powered Hollywood attorney Marty Singer has sent a letter to the weekly magazine, warning them that should they publish the steamy photos, they'll face a serious lawsuit. Singer said the photographer was "outrageous and malicious," adding, "The photos that were taken of our clients by a Mexican photographer violated Mexican law and were a clear invasion of privacy, and we have threatened to take legal action against third parties who publish the photos."

Singing legend Diana Ross is a difficult and demanding boss who fires her staff on a whim, according to a new biography. Author J. Randy Taraborrelli claims Ross fired her entire staff when unflattering stories appeared in the press and also blacklisted a number of former assistants she had fired. In the unauthorized biography 'Diana Ross,' due for release in September, Ross is also accused of using one of her daughters to spy on the staff and report back if they misbehaved. In one incident, Taraborelli claims Ross' former personal assistant Michael Browne was reprimanded for failing to hide $100,000 worth of presents on a private jet carrying her and her daughters to Las Vegas. "She is also accused of upstaging former Supremes bandmate, Florence Ballard during her funeral, by announcing to the congregation over a microphone that she and fellow Supreme Mary Wilson wanted to have a silent prayer". Taraborelli claims it was obvious "the last thing Wilson wanted to do was go up to the altar and be the center of attention."

Tony Parker "doesn't care" where he marries Eva Longoria.Parker, who is set to marry the 'Desperate Housewives' star in France on July 7, admits he doesn't know much about the details of the upcoming nuptials.He said: "I don't care where I'm going to get married. It's a girl's thing. That's a question you should ask Eva." Parker also laughed off reports they are having their wedding cake flown in from the US.He said: "Why take a cake from the United States if it is France that makes the best cakes?"
