Los Angeles City prosecutors said they will ask a judge to revoke Paris Hilton's probation in a reckless driving case, a move that could lead to a jail term.The decision followed an investigation into whether Hilton violated terms of her probation by driving last month with a suspended license."We're confident we have sufficient evidence to prove that her license was suspended and that she had knowledge of that suspension," said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for the city attorney's office.He declined to elaborate on the evidence, citing an ongoing investigation."Hilton could face up to 90 days in jail if a judge finds she violated her probation," Velasquez said. A hearing was scheduled for April 17.In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood and was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.Hilton was pulled over on Sunset Boulevard on Feb. 28. Police said they saw her blue Bentley Continental GTC speeding with its headlights off. She was ticketed for misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. Hilton's spokesman Elliot Mintz said at the time that she hadn't been aware that her license was suspended.

A police report from the incident states Giordano has regularly sneaked into post-concert parties and once lunged at Branch during an autograph signing session. Branch's road manager, Joshua Scott, says, "Giordano would try to approach her and touch her and just really inappropriate stuff."

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline reached a settlement in their divorce, a spokesman for Federline's attorney confirmed. After a five-hour meeting with their attorneys present, Spears and Federline signed "a global settlement on all issues of their marriage," said Michael Sands, a spokesman for Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan. Sands declined to elaborate on terms of the settlement, saying only that it covers child custody and financial matters. The settlement came more than a week after Spears checked out of a luxurious rehab center. During her nearly one-month stay at Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Facility, Spears and Federline were under a temporary agreement that gave them joint custody of their two young sons. When Spears filed for divorce on Nov. 7, she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for ending her two-year marriage to Federline. She sought custody of the children, with visitation rights for Federline. Federline counter-filed court papers the following day seeking sole custody of their boys and for spousal support.

Denise Richards and Pamela Anderson have been named in a lawsuit filed by two photographers, who claim the stars verbally and physically abused them. In a lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck allege Richards raged when she spotted the photographers taking snapshots of her on the set of her upcoming movie 'Blonde & BLonder' last year. According to the lawsuit, Richards spent 20 minutes hurling abuse at the two men and physically assaulted them at the River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver, Canada. The plaintiffs claim Richards then "snatched their laptop computers from their hands, and threw them over the hotel balcony," adding one of the computers allegedly struck "an elderly woman in a wheelchair." Canadian police investigated the incident and decided it "wasn't in the best public interest to bring criminal charges" against Richards and Anderson. In the lawsuit, Cosman and Fedyck claim Richards and Anderson, her 'Blonde & Blonder' co-star, then falsely told the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that the photographers "had engaged in criminal activity." As a result, they were arrested and held by authorities for "approximately three days." The paparazzi pair is suing both women for assault, battery, defamation, false arrest and other charges.

Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental overdose of a sleeping medication and at least eight other prescription drugs, and she had recently had a bacterial infection from injecting drugs into her buttocks, authorities said. Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said Smith died of "combined drug intoxication" with the sleeping medication chloral hydrate as the major factor. "She had been taking a lengthy list of medications, including methadone for pain and valium," he said. A bacterial infection from injecting medication in her buttocks and a viral infection contributed to her death, the autopsy report said. Chloral hydrate is a sedative used to treat insomnia and alcohol withdrawal, relieve anxiety and ease post-surgery pain. Perper said Smith had been on several antidepressant and antianxiety drugs and had recently taken B12 and growth hormone. The detailed autopsy showed no evidence of disease."We found nothing to indicate any foul play," said Chief Charlie Tiger of the Seminole police department. Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, said chloral hydrate is rarely prescribed and is known to be fatal if combined with certain other drugs, including the sedative Lorazepam, which the autopsy showed she was taking."It's very toxic if you mix it with any other central nervous system depressant drugs," Walls said. "You could get profound sedation leading up to coma and respiratory arrest." Tiger said authorities examined laptop computers belonging to Smith and her companion, Howard K. Stern, and found nothing unusual related to her death. Tiger also said nothing came up during an exhaustive review of tapes from hotel security cameras and from interviews with numerous witnesses. Perper said Smith felt ill shortly after arriving in Fort Lauderdale from the Bahamas on Feb. 5 and that she eventually developed a fever of 105 degrees. Perper said Smith had a blood infection that could have been caused by a contaminated needle, but it was brought under control by antibiotics and an ice bath."Her temperature never went again above 100 and, except for an episode of vomiting, she felt relatively well expect for feeling very weak," he said. The weeks after Smith's death were filled with public courtroom drama and private whispers about what might have killed her. Officials delayed releasing the autopsy results because of additional evidence, not publicly released. Perper's initial examination had revealed no serious injuries to her body. Perper said that prescription drugs, but no illegal drugs, were found in Smith's hotel room.

The arrest came only hours after the couple was kicked out of the Graciela Hotel in Burbank following a violent argument that left Weiland's room in shambles and blood on the linens. The hotel is pressing charges against the Weilands for the damage they caused.

Weiland was booked at a Burbank police station just after midnight Sunday morning and was released after posting $50,000 bail three hours later. The arrest came only hours after the couple was kicked out of the Graciela Hotel in Burbank following a violent argument that left Weiland's room in shambles and blood on the linens. The hotel is pressing charges against the Weilands for the damage they caused.

Denise Richards and Pamela Anderson have been named in a lawsuit filed by two photographers, who claim the stars verbally and physically abused them. In a lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, Scott Cosman and Rik Fedyck allege Richards raged when she spotted the photographers taking snapshots of her on the set of her upcoming movie 'Blonde & BLonder' last year. According to the lawsuit, Richards spent 20 minutes hurling abuse at the two men and physically assaulted them at the River Rock Casino Resort in Vancouver, Canada. The plaintiffs claim Richards then "snatched their laptop computers from their hands, and threw them over the hotel balcony," adding one of the computers allegedly struck "an elderly woman in a wheelchair." Canadian police investigated the incident and decided it "wasn't in the best public interest to bring criminal charges" against Richards and Anderson. In the lawsuit, Cosman and Fedyck claim Richards and Anderson, her 'Blonde & Blonder' co-star, then falsely told the Royal Canadian Mounted Police that the photographers "had engaged in criminal activity." As a result, they were arrested and held by authorities for "approximately three days." The paparazzi pair is suing both women for assault, battery, defamation, false arrest and other charges.

Anna Nicole Smith died of an accidental overdose of a sleeping medication and at least eight other prescription drugs, and she had recently had a bacterial infection from injecting drugs into her buttocks, authorities said. Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper said Smith died of "combined drug intoxication" with the sleeping medication chloral hydrate as the major factor. "She had been taking a lengthy list of medications, including methadone for pain and valium," he said. A bacterial infection from injecting medication in her buttocks and a viral infection contributed to her death, the autopsy report said. Chloral hydrate is a sedative used to treat insomnia and alcohol withdrawal, relieve anxiety and ease post-surgery pain. Perper said Smith had been on several antidepressant and antianxiety drugs and had recently taken B12 and growth hormone. The detailed autopsy showed no evidence of disease."We found nothing to indicate any foul play," said Chief Charlie Tiger of the Seminole police department. Dr. Chip Walls, a forensic toxicologist for the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, said chloral hydrate is rarely prescribed and is known to be fatal if combined with certain other drugs, including the sedative Lorazepam, which the autopsy showed she was taking."It's very toxic if you mix it with any other central nervous system depressant drugs," Walls said. "You could get profound sedation leading up to coma and respiratory arrest." Tiger said authorities examined laptop computers belonging to Smith and her companion, Howard K. Stern, and found nothing unusual related to her death. Tiger also said nothing came up during an exhaustive review of tapes from hotel security cameras and from interviews with numerous witnesses. Perper said Smith felt ill shortly after arriving in Fort Lauderdale from the Bahamas on Feb. 5 and that she eventually developed a fever of 105 degrees. Perper said Smith had a blood infection that could have been caused by a contaminated needle, but it was brought under control by antibiotics and an ice bath."Her temperature never went again above 100 and, except for an episode of vomiting, she felt relatively well expect for feeling very weak," he said. The weeks after Smith's death were filled with public courtroom drama and private whispers about what might have killed her. Officials delayed releasing the autopsy results because of additional evidence, not publicly released. Perper's initial examination had revealed no serious injuries to her body. Perper said that prescription drugs, but no illegal drugs, were found in Smith's hotel room.

Naomi Campbell left the New York City Sanitation Department after the fifth day of her court-ordered community service. She was released from a garbage truck garage after completing five days of community service for assaulting her maid.Campbell walked out of the Department of Sanitation facility in Manhattan just after 4 p.m., making her exit seconds after a garbage truck rolled through the area. She strutted out of the garage in a bare-shouldered, ankle-length shimmering gown and stiletto sandals, then stepped into her silver Rolls Royce and sped away as neighborhood residents and paparazzi watched. Her boss for the week, department chief Albert Durrell, said she successfully completed her service.Campbell had pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault for throwing the phone at her maid about a year ago in her Park Avenue apartment over a missing pair of jeans. Campbell said it was an accident because she did not intend to hit the maid. Misdemeanor assault is punishable by up to a year in jail. In an agreement negotiated with prosecutors, a Manhattan Criminal Court judge sentenced Campbell to the five days of community service, to take anger management classes and to pay $363.32 in restitution to Scolavino, as well as covering her hospital bills.

Stern had occupied the house with Anna Nicole Smith since August. According to Pinder,"the property belongs to his client G. Ben Thompson, a friend of Anna Nicole's who offered his house when she was looking for property in the Bahamas to have her baby and escape the media frenzy." The request states Stern has been "trespassing on the Plaintiff's property without his consent" since before February 8, 2007, the day Anna Nicole died."I served a summons asking the Magistrate's court to give us an eviction notice against Howard K. Stern and to have him pay rent and legal costs and damages if there are any damages in the place," Pinder said. Pinder claims Thompson bought the house and had his lawyers draw up the papers for it in Anna Nicole's name, because although he was in possession, he wanted to have her purchase the house eventually.Pinder claims that after this agreement was made, Smith declined to sign the mortgage or promissory note. The attorney said he went to the property to serve Stern with the notice, but was forced to leave it at the gate when Stern would not come to the door."I got a feeling that he was surprised by this particular one. I don't think he knew that this was coming,"Pinder said. "He probably felt that since we were concentrating on the Anna Nicole matter, that we would miss him and we did for a time but after my client and I spoke, Ford Shelly spoke to me about it and said there must be some way we can get Howard out." "This will be probably a shorter process because the magistrate's courts do not play. They will ask Howard K. Stern to show cause why he should be in the property or shouldn't be thrown out and if he can't show cause by presenting the proper documents they'll ask him to leave," Pinder said. He also claimed that the welfare of Smith's daughter, who is currently staying with Stern, was taken into consideration."We did this only after we found out that the courts directed that Howard K. Stern and the other parties seeking paternity take a DNA test." Pinder added. "Once that is done, we know that he will no longer have any reason to be in the house because he will not be the child's father. He is not associated with the child in any way except maybe through the will which we believe is not necessarily a good will and therefore he will have to leave."If Larry Birkhead or Virgie Arthur ends up being awarded custody of the baby, Pinder said they might be allowed to live in the house."There may be a provision somewhere between my clients, Larry Birkhead and Mrs. Arthur that Smith's daughter can live in the house because my clients are really concerned with the proper welfare and the proper upbringing of the little girl,"Pinder added.

Vivica A. Fox has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of DUI, stemming from her recent arrest. Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan confirmed that Fox was charged with one count of driving while impaired and one count of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher. Fox reportedly blew a .09 when she took a breathalyzer test. If convicted on both counts, Fox faces a maximum six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. CHP officers pulled over Fox's 2007 Cadillac Escalade after she flew past a marked patrol car at approximately 80 mph. She then failed a field sobriety test and was placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Fox is due back in court on May 17.

Joshua Perper, Broward County, Florida, medical examiner, said he would conduct a news conference as soon as Monday to announce what killed Anna Nicole Smith. She died Feb. 8 in a Hollywood, Fla., hospital where she was taken after being found unresponsive in her hotel room. Gary Bitner, Seminole Police Department spokesman said the findings at the news conference "are going to be a significant announcement." The spokesman added that the police, state attorney and the medical examiner's office have been working together and "it continues to be a non-criminal, unexplained death investigation." Bitner said Perper's findings "are going to provide some resolution" in Smith's death.
